Have you ever wanted to see a particle accelerator up close? Your chance is coming to an end! Our competition to visit ISIS at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and see a particle accelerator closes on Thursday 26th September.

You and a friend could soon be visiting ISIS, a world-leading centre for research in the physical and life sciences at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire. You will get to see particle accelerator up close at the STFC’s ISIS neutron and muon source. This is not usually open to the public so it really is an amazing opportunity.

You will also dine with the scientists and Tom Whyntie, who will also accompany you on the trip, and receive signed copies of the Introducing Particle Physics for you and your friend.

If you’re not the lucky winner, do not fear, as signed copies of the book and vouchers for £100 and £20 are available as runners up prizes!

Visit blackwell.co.uk/particle to enter.
